Biotechnology
Biotechnology is the use of animals, plants and microorganisms for the production of food, feed and industrial goods.
Biotechnological methods based on DNA are of great significance for animal and plant processing, the food processing industry, veterinary and human medicine as well as nature management.
HHBiotek conducts research and education in biotechnology in collaboration with regional, national and international companies, research institutes and universities. HHBiotek offers a Master degree in Commercial Biotechnology. Doctoral studies are offered in collaboration with a university.
HHBiotek has four core areas:
-The Biology of Reproduction
-DNA Technology in Processing, Health and Nature Management
-Bioprocess and Enzyme Technology
-Commercialisation of Biotechnology
