More than 80 participants attended the DESIS Forum in Paris on 21 May 2011.
The DESIS Forum (Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability) showcased more than 50 projects sent by 23 design schools and universities from 12 countries all over the world.
Through presentations and exhibitions, the Forum provided a small snapshot of the huge range of initiatives on design for social innovation and sustainability that are going on throughout the world.
All contributors were involved in a pacha-kucha style of presentations - 4 minutes to present their project's 4 slides. A cloud of stickies containing key-words posted by the presenters provides a draft overview of their concerns: local, co-design and participative approaches, in fields such as food, public action, heath, safety, social cohesion, micro-entrepreneurship, education and mobility.
All the presentations will soon be available on the DESIS website. In the meantime, you'll find more information here including some picture of the event.
The Forum was held back-to-back to the Cumulus annual conference.
