Totile Levandauskaite from Lithuania won first place in the PERL magazine/press article competition. Winners of the photo competition were James Phillip and Abdi Ali from Tanzania. A Bulgarian group won the video competition with their video “Watch!” and Mani Mehrvarz from Poland won with his video “A Spark of Hope for the Past”

This year PERL organised not only a magazine/press article, photograph and video competitions for students. They also organised a video competition for independent filmmakers. New this year was also the student photo competition.
The winners of the 2013 PERL media competition were announced at the PERL Collective workgroup meeting in April 2014 in Sligo, Ireland. The winning video of the student video competition was shown to over 70 PERL partners attending the meeting.

2nd prize is awarded to Damjan Vinko and Tina Orešnik from Slovenia with their article: Now is the time to live sustainably!
3rd prize is awarded to Bernard Alaka from Kenya with his article: A LEADER’S DIARY IN KENYA
